Ph.D. in Synthetic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry is required.
Post-doctoral experience is preferred but not required.
Experience in synthetic methodologies, synthesis problem-solving, and total synthesis is required. Prior experience in Luminescent dyes synthesis is a plus.
Candidates should have general knowledge of broad separation technologies and characterization techniques.
Working knowledge of biology and biochemistry is preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for design and synthesis of novel luminescent dyes or organic compounds for clinical diagnostics. The primary objective of this position is to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to discover and exploit proprietary diagnostic platforms in our Discovery and Products Development effort. The job role will also include the following:
Interface with biologists, biochemists and products development engineers to generate and exploit opportunities.
Generate and execute ideas based on a sound biological hypothesis.
Design & synthesis of novel molecules to meet project needs.
Generate sound data, document, communicate, and provide clear interpretation of it.
Establish and deliver long-term technical leadership in the area of synthetic organic chemistry and luminescent dyes.
