Job Title: Senior IP Counsel

The role will be based in Shanghai, reporting directly to the CEO. The Senior IP Counsel will be required to work independently on IP matters, and work closely and collaboratively with business and legal teams in France/U.S. as well as with outside counsels.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Developing and managing company’s patent portfolio, including reviewing and evaluating invention report, supervising outside counsel on patent preparation and worldwide patent prosecution.

? Working with legal team on IP transactions including license agreement negotiation & preparation, and due diligence.

? Working with outside counsel to manage patent enforcement actions and patent disputes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

? Minimum of 6 years of broad IP experience including patent prosecution, counseling, licensing, due diligence and enforcement.

? Fluent English language skill. French or Chinese language skill is a plus.

? Ability to work independently and effectively in a matrix organization.

? Proactive and self-motivated.

? Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently & manage priorities accordingly.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

? M.S. or Ph.D. in biological science or related discipline, and a law degree with qualification as a patent attorney in the U.S., Europe or China.
